Shipping policy
SHIPPING POLICY
At Prime Line Auto Parts LLC, we specialize in the distribution of heavy automotive components, including used engines and transmissions. Because of the size and weight of these components, our logistical procedures vary significantly from standard e-commerce shipping. Please review our shipping policy thoroughly before completing your transaction.
1. Processing Times
- All stock orders require a 2 to 5 business day internal processing and handling window. During this period, components undergo final quality control reviews, fluid draining, and secure palletization/crating to avoid transit damage.
- Custom procurement orders or out-of-network units may require extended handling times, which will be communicated to the buyer directly by our team during checkout.
2. Freight Deliveries & Transport Methods
- Large components (engines, trans assemblies) are transported via commercial LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight carriers.
- Commercial Addresses: Freight rates are lowest when shipping directly to a verified commercial business zone equipped with a commercial loading dock or a forklift capable of unloading heavy pallets from a freight trailer.
- Residential & Home-Business Deliveries: Shipments bound for residential homes or private non-commercial areas will automatically incur a standard carrier liftgate surcharge. Liftgate service ensures the truck driver lowers the palletized unit down to ground level safely.
3. Arrival Inspection Mandate (Crucial)
- The buyer or the designated installing technician must completely inspect the exterior crating and the auto part itself before signing the carrier’s Bill of Lading (BOL).
- Any structural cracks, broken bolt holes, unnoted freight damage, or physical discrepancies must be clearly written directly on the carrier’s paper receipt/BOL before the driver departs.
- In the rare event of major damage, document the condition with high-resolution photos immediately and refuse the delivery. Notify Prime Line Auto Parts LLC within 48 hours so a freight claim can be managed. Signed delivery receipts without noted structural damages forfeit any logistics-related claims.
4. Delivery Deadlines and Terminal Pickups
- If a customer's address is inaccessible to a full-size freight semi-truck, the buyer can request to pick up the freight directly at the closest regional freight carrier terminal.
- Once a delivery appointment is scheduled by the carrier, the customer must be available to accept the item. Storage or redelivery charges resulting from missed delivery appointments are the exclusive financial responsibility of the buyer.
5. International Shipping Exceptions
- We currently specialize in logistics fulfillment throughout the continental United States market. For shipments requested outside of the US mainland, please contact our support desk directly to evaluate cross-border customs protocol and accurate freight quoting.
