Shipping policy

Effective Date: July 05, 2026

Prime Line Auto Parts LLC specializes in the sale and distribution of quality used automotive engines and related drivetrain components. Due to the size, weight, and freight requirements of these products, our shipping procedures differ from standard parcel deliveries.

Please review this Shipping Policy carefully before placing an order through https://www.primelineautopart.com.

1. Order Processing

Orders for in-stock products are generally processed within 2–5 business days after payment has been successfully received and verified.

During processing, products may undergo:

  • Final quality inspection
  • Fluid draining and preparation (where applicable)
  • Secure palletization and/or crating
  • Freight documentation and carrier scheduling

Processing times apply only to order preparation and do not include shipping transit time.

Orders placed on weekends or U.S. federal holidays will be processed on the next business day.

For custom-sourced or special-order components, additional processing time may be required. Customers will be notified if extended processing is necessary.

2. Shipping Methods

Due to their size and weight, most engines and other large automotive components are shipped via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight carriers.

Smaller items, when available, may be shipped using standard parcel carriers.

Shipping methods are selected based on product size, weight, destination, and carrier availability.

3. Shipping Charges

Prime Line Auto Parts LLC offers FREE standard freight shipping to eligible commercial business addresses within the continental United States that are equipped to receive freight shipments, such as locations with a loading dock or forklift.

Residential deliveries are available and are subject to a $150 residential liftgate service fee. This fee covers the additional freight carrier costs associated with residential delivery and liftgate equipment.

Additional freight charges may also apply in certain circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Remote or rural delivery locations
  • Limited-access locations
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information
  • Missed delivery appointments
  • Redelivery requests
  • Storage fees imposed by the freight carrier
  • Special carrier accessorial services requested by the customer

Any additional charge known before shipment will be disclosed to the customer and must be accepted before the shipment is released to the carrier.

4. Commercial and Residential Deliveries

Commercial Deliveries

Commercial locations equipped with a loading dock and forklift generally qualify for the most economical freight rates.

Customers are encouraged to provide a commercial delivery address whenever possible.

Eligible commercial business addresses receive FREE standard freight shipping within the continental United States. Residential addresses are subject to a $150 liftgate service fee.

Residential Deliveries

Residential deliveries require liftgate service and are subject to a $150 residential liftgate service fee. Additional carrier charges may apply for remote locations, restricted access, missed delivery appointments, redelivery requests, or other carrier-imposed accessorial services.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is accessible for freight trucks.

Additional charges resulting from any of the following may be the customer's responsibility:

  • Incorrect delivery information
  • Restricted access
  • Remote locations
  • Limited-access roads
  • Special delivery requirements
  • Carrier-imposed surcharges

5. Freight Transit Times

Estimated delivery times begin after the shipment has been released to and accepted by the freight carrier.

Typical freight transit time is approximately 3–7 business days, depending on the delivery destination, carrier route, terminal availability, and delivery appointment scheduling. This estimate does not include the 2–5-business-day order processing period.

All transit and delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Weather conditions
  • Natural disasters
  • Traffic or road closures
  • Freight carrier delays
  • Mechanical failures
  • Labor disputes
  • Government actions
  • Supply-chain disruptions
  • Delivery appointment availability
  • Remote, rural, or limited-access destinations

Prime Line Auto Parts LLC is not responsible for delays caused by the freight carrier or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control after the shipment has been accepted by the carrier.

Customers should remain available at the telephone number provided with the order, as freight carriers may contact them to arrange a delivery appointment.

6. Delivery Inspection

Customers must inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery and before signing the freight carrier's delivery receipt or Bill of Lading (BOL). Risk of loss and responsibility for inspecting the shipment pass to the customer upon delivery by the freight carrier, subject to applicable law and any rights provided under our Warranty Policy and Return & Refund Policy.

Please inspect:

  • Exterior packaging
  • Crate or pallet
  • Visible condition of the product

If visible freight damage is discovered:

  • Take clear photographs.
  • Note the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt.
  • Notify Prime Line Auto Parts LLC within 48 hours of delivery.

Failure to document visible shipping damage before accepting delivery may affect freight damage claims.

7. Damaged Shipments

If a shipment arrives with significant freight damage, customers should:

  • Refuse the shipment whenever appropriate.
  • Photograph the damaged product and packaging.
  • Contact our customer support team immediately.

Prime Line Auto Parts LLC will work with the freight carrier to review the claim and determine the appropriate resolution.

8. Delivery Appointments

Many freight carriers require delivery appointments.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing an accurate telephone number.
  • Being available during the scheduled delivery window.
  • Promptly responding to carrier communications.

Missed appointments may result in additional charges imposed by the freight carrier.

9. Terminal Pickup

If a freight carrier cannot safely access the delivery location, customers may be required or may choose to collect their shipment from the nearest participating freight terminal.

Terminal availability depends on the freight carrier and destination.

10. Storage, Redelivery, and Carrier Charges

Customers are responsible for any additional carrier charges resulting from:

  • Missed delivery appointments
  • Storage fees
  • Redelivery attempts
  • Incorrect shipping information
  • Failure to collect freight from a designated terminal within the carrier's required timeframe

Any such charges must be paid before delivery can be completed.

11. Shipping Restrictions

At this time, Prime Line Auto Parts LLC primarily ships throughout the continental United States.

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations may be available upon request and is subject to:

  • Carrier availability
  • Additional freight charges
  • Customs documentation
  • Import and export requirements
  • Destination-specific restrictions

Please contact us before placing an order if shipping outside the continental United States.

Customers may contact our support team at any time for shipment status updates.
